Our Diagnosis
Second-story gutters pulled away from fascia due to debris weight and tree limb interference. Privacy fence failure caused by leaning posts and aging cedar boards. Landscape grading issues near the gate prevented proper access and drainage.
Root cause
Deferred maintenance of gutters and encroaching tree limbs led to excessive weight loads on fascia; natural soil movement and post degradation caused fence instability.
How We Fixed It

Performed high-access tree trimming to remove overhanging limbs. 2. Re-pitched 40 LF of second-story gutters using hidden hangers and resealed all joints. 3. Installed professional-grade micromesh gutter guards to prevent future debris buildup. 4. Excavated 8 inches of soil to level the gate area for future hardscaping. 5. Rebuilt an 8ft privacy fence section and gate; stripped and repainted 175 LF of picket fence. 6. Replaced wax rings and closet bolts on two interior toilets to prevent floor damage.
How to Prevent This
- Trim trees back at least 3-5 feet from the roofline annually. Ensure wood fences are resealed every 2-3 years, and verify that gutter guards are inspected for shingle grit accumulation every spring.
