Our Diagnosis
Existing downstairs lighting used inefficient incandescent/halogen cans; bar area lacked dedicated power for countertop appliances and task lighting; bathroom required updated switching and fixture relocation.
Root cause
Dated electrical infrastructure and lack of dedicated circuits for new functional zones (bar and remodeled bathroom).
How We Fixed It

Replaced existing 24 can light modules with LED retrofits. 2. Tapped existing circuit for bar power, installing two GFCI outlets at countertop height and two recessed ceiling lights with a dedicated switch. 3. Upgraded bathroom switching from 2-gang to 3-gang boxes. 4. Pre-wired for new vanity lighting above mirror including wire pulls and drywall patching. 5. Scaled project to include additional gimbals and downlights as requested by client.
How to Prevent This
- Ensure LED modules are compatible with existing dimmers; otherwise, dimmers must be upgraded to CL-rated switches to prevent buzzing or strobing.
