Crawlspace Moisture Control Upgrade

Crawlspace Dehumidifier & Dedicated Circuit Install

University Park - Dallas

Dehumidifier with a gray body, black fan casing, and control panel, mounted under a wooden floor joist in a crawlspace.

This crawlspace dehumidifier efficiently manages moisture, promoting a healthier home environment.

The Challenge

Installation of a crawlspace dehumidification system to improve moisture control and protect the home’s structural integrity. The project included electrical and drainage integration to support continuous operation in a high-humidity environment.

Our Solution

A dedicated electrical circuit was run from the main panel to ensure reliable, code-compliant power for the dehumidifier. A GFCI outlet was installed inside a weather-rated enclosure to provide safe operation in the damp crawlspace conditions. The unit was securely mounted to keep it elevated and out of potential standing water. Additionally, the condensate line was routed and tied into an existing drain system to allow for automatic moisture removal without the need for manual maintenance.

The Result

The crawlspace now benefits from consistent humidity control, helping prevent mold growth, wood rot, and air quality issues. The clean, organized installation ensures long-term reliability, safety, and low maintenance, while improving the overall health and durability of the home.
